Please follow traffic management measures
(lines, hoops & ropes). They are in place to: (1) Manage
course traffic, reducing wear and tear at pinch points and / or (2)Â Prevent
players from walking across areas that are difficult to negotiate (and in some
instances could result in a trip / slip if attempted).  Relief options: Ropes
and stakes are immovable obstructions. Please do not remove
them. Free relief is permitted under Rule 16. White
hoops are movable obstructions. They can be moved and
then replaced after shot taken. Black and white
posts, such as that shown in the photograph are in place to aid ball search in
the rough. They are in ‘sleeves’ and can therefore be removed / replaced.
As a result, they are moveable obstructions.

Gorse regeneration – 14th
hole. Areas of gorse on the 14th hole
have been cut back quite severely. Those areas are still in play and should not
be regarded as Ground Under Repair or No Play Zones. Therefore, the ball is to
be played as it lies. There are some areas of animal damage (abnormal
ground condition) within the gorse areas. Please note that if taking relief
under rule 16, such relief is from the animal damage. That relief might well still
be within the gorse area. Relief is not from the gorse area as a whole.
Remember, the rules of golf allow for the nearest point of relief, not
the nicest point of relief. In addition, please keep rule 16.1a(3) in
mind. There is no relief permitted when:Â Playing the ball as it lies is clearly unreasonable
because of something from which the player is not allowed to take free relief
(such as when a player is unable to make a stroke because of where the ball
lies in a bush) or Interference exists only because the player chooses a
club, type of stance, swing or direction of play that is clearly unreasonable
under the circumstances. Relief options for an unplayable ball are
different and are addressed under rule 19. Animal damage – generally. Some animal damage, which is most prominent
has been white-lined as GUR. Relief must be taken from such areas. Please note that there is likely to be
further animal damage that isn’t white-lined though. Standard relief options
apply under rule 16.Â

Preferred lies
|
Preferred lies are now limited to holes 4, 11 and 12. For all other holes, the ball should be played as it lies. This will be the case until further notice. We'd be very grateful if players could help to keep the course in good condition, repairing divots by using the repair pegs / seed mix provided.
